Dr. Vitter is a native of Ohio. After receiving his DDS degree form the Ohio State University, Dr. Vitter completed his fellowship in Prosthodontics from LSU and went on to MD Anderson Hospital in Houston, Texas where he completed his fellowship in oral oncology/ Maxillofacial Prosthodontics. Dr. Vitter also holds a Master Degree in Education from the University of New Orleans.
One in only about 350 Maxillofacial Prosthodontists in the US, Dr. Vitter has practiced full time in Metairie, Louisiana for over 30 years. He is an associate professor at the LSU School of Dentistry, where he has been teaching dentists the basics of his specialty for years.
Dr. Luis Alvarado obtained his Doctor in Dental Science (DDS) degrees in his home country Guatemala in 2011. He decided later to continue his education on a 2-year program of Advanced Education in General Dentistry in the University of Connecticut Health Center. Dr. Alvarado then moved to New Orleans, to specialize in Prosthodontics at Louisiana State University, where he received his Master’s degree (MSD).
As part of his academic activities, Dr. Luis Alvarado serves as part time faculty in the Prosthodontics Department at Louisiana State University.
Dr. Alvarado has been involved in community service, including mission trips in Guatemala, volunteering at a community health center in Connecticut and Mission of Mercy in New Orleans. Dr. Alvarado joined Prosthodontic Specialists in July 2017 and his practice is dedicated exclusively to his specialty including Fixed, Removable and Implant Prosthodontics, Cosmetic Dentistry and Full Mouth Rehabilitations.
